The Reality About Daniel Snyder
All over the web, awful commentaries about Dan Snyder, owner of the Redskins. The public see him as a spoiled rich brat who thinks the Redskins is a toy and a money manufacturer. For the press, he is arrogant and lacks patience. But, these bad write ups are not supported by people who work with him every day.
The people who work with him everyday say he is a good person. They say that Snyder helps those who are not even that close to him. His employees say he pays well especially those who have done a great job. Those he has helped say he is a pure philanthropist, helping out even if he did not have to . He donates even if he will not be credited for it. Those who have seen how he is being treated by his children can genuinely say that he, too, is warm and caring.
How shold Daniel Snyder be described, warm and caring or impatient and arrogant? You will have to make your own choice. If you know how Dan Snyder grew up, you will see him in a whole new light.
Opposed to what others believe, Snyder and his family was not rich. He had a difficult life as a kid because they had no money. Neither did they own a TV. As a weekly treat, his father would take him to a TV store which airs the Redskins game. As a kid, he worshipped the team. When asked if he had ever hoped owning and running the team, he answered a big no. He challenged himself until he finally had money worth $500 million. He was 34 at that time.
When he was 34, he became friends with Joe Gibbs, the former coach of the Redskins. He soon made friends with Joe Gibbs and Dwight Schar after he was able to donate $25,000 in charity. In 1999, he became owner of the Redskins. Since then the three of them became more close due to the charity that they supported.
